Best Bets: Division Series Wednesday - 10/7/26

Four games, and every one of them is an elimination game for somebody. I've got one bet I like a lot and three tickets that are swings with upside. Here's the whole card, starting with the best one.
Munetaka Murakami to hit a home run (+375). Murakami is heating up at the right time. He's 3-for-8 with a home run in this series, and he hit four homers in his last 10 regular-season games. Cleveland is using an opener and its bullpen, so he'll likely see a different pitcher each time up, with no starter getting multiple looks at him. Add a warm afternoon at Rate Field and +375 is worth a small swing.
Tyler Glasnow 7+ strikeouts (+105), 0.5u. This is one of my favorite bets of the day. Glasnow struck out 34% of the hitters he faced this season, about 12 per nine innings, and he finished with games of 10 and 11 strikeouts. Atlanta will have Ronald Acuña at less than full strength, and the Braves' shortstop spot is a hole. If Glasnow faces his usual 21 batters, I have him at about seven strikeouts, and getting plus money on seven or more is a good price. The only real risk is the Dodgers pulling him early.

Moneyline parlay: White Sox, Yankees, Dodgers, Brewers (+803), 0.25u. Four favorites on one ticket. The Brewers carry this one. They won 103 games with a +214 run differential, and tonight they face Walker Buehler, who had a 4.63 ERA this season. I think Milwaukee is better than its price. The Dodgers are the leg I trust least at -172: Tyler Mahle has been good lately, but his underlying numbers suggest he's been a little lucky. Small stake, big payout.

White Sox ML + Over 8 (+244), 0.25u. Chicago is 4-0 this postseason and home for a chance to close out the series. Both teams are using an opener, so this game will be decided by bullpens. On a warm afternoon on the South Side, with a White Sox lineup that hit 211 home runs, I'll take a shot on the Sox winning a game in the 5-4 range.

- 2 – MLB Over 7 - Total Runs · TB @ NYY -120
Yankees ML + Over 7 (+186), 0.25u. The Yankees face elimination with Max Fried on the mound, and the Rays have hit lefties much worse than righties all year. To win, the Yankees bats have to show up, and if they do, this total is in play. Ben Rice hit two home runs in Game 2. The honest caveat: New York has scored two runs in two games without Aaron Judge, so this is the longest shot on the card.
The bottom line. If you only bet one, take Glasnow. The rest are small-stake tickets.
